Glamorous isn’t exactly how I would describe real estate investing. I’m often in some of the dirtiest houses in the grossest neighborhoods. Being able to turn other people’s trash into treasure is one of the skills you have to learn. I have moved drug houses, mold ridden homes, and other delicacies. I often get asked if a property can be too far gone. The video below is one example where I would say yes. The picture above is the exterior. The video below is what lies inside. The ARV on this home would be right around 100k. I know from tax records that the owner paid over 20k. He has been trying to sell it for over a year. Even if he gave me this home for free I don’t know that it could be saved. The sub floors, roof, foundation, brick work, siding, and every other system is compromised. Quite frankly I don’t know how it hasn’t been condemned.
